Renato Labi speaks at the Fresh Perspectives Contentious Trusts Conference in Barcelona
Partner Renato Labi today spoke at the Fresh Perspectives Contentious Trusts Conference in Barcelona, joining leading practitioners from the private client, trusts and contentious trusts sectors for a day of discussion focused on the challenges facing international families and trustees.
Renato participated in the panel discussion titled ‘Anticipating and Managing Family Dysfunction’, alongside Mark Freedman of Osbornes, Jill Carpenter of Rawlinson & Hunter, Helen Hendy of Praxis and Jordan Holland of 5 Stone Buildings.

The session explored the complex issues that can arise in divorces and family breakdown involving trusts, particularly where there are competing interests across generations and jurisdictions. Discussion focused on the role alternative dispute resolution can play, including the operation of the FDR process in financial remedy proceedings.
Renato advises on complex high net worth and ultra high net worth family matters, often involving trusts, international assets and cross-border wealth structures. His practice regularly intersects with contentious trust issues arising in the context of divorce and wider family disputes.
