Bryan specialises in family law and in particular acting for international high net worth individuals in financial and children matters, including both financial claims and Children Act proceedings.
Prior to joining Hughes Fowler Carruthers Bryan trained at a city law firm where he gained experience in commercial property, trusts, contentious probate and family law.
Upon qualification in 2010, Bryan joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers and since then has amassed a wealth of experience, which includes High Court and Court of Appeal reported cases. Bryan was appointed to the partnership in April 2018.
Bryan is ranked in the leading legal directories and is featured in the Spear’s Family Law Index’s ‘Recommended Family Lawyers’ list. Chambers and Partners regards Bryan as “extremely astute, with fine instincts and a talent for forensic analysis”. Chambers UK 2021 ranks Bryan as an “Up and Coming” individual and praises him as “very talented and hard-working” and “fantastic at dealing with complex high net worth divorces”. The Guide further notes Bryan “has a great ability to juggle many balls at once and not drop any” and “is also very good at making the client feel cared for”, noting Bryan is “very diligent, clever and thorough” and “handles the most complex litigation extraordinarily well.” The Legal 500 UK 2021 praises him as a “rising star”. The guide further notes that “having learned at the feet of Frances Hughes, he is now handling very big cases himself“.
Bryan is a member of Resolution and his interests include cricket, travel and cycling.
