Kate specialises in all aspects of family law and in particular acting for international high net worth and high-profile individuals in financial and children matters.

Kate has had extensive experience in a wide range of cases including a number of reported cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Her cases have included high value financial cases often with an international element and complex cases involving children such as relocation from the jurisdiction and cases involving substance abuse.

Kate is focused but approachable, with excellent judgement and a keen eye for detail. Commenting on her promotion to partner, James Roberts QC commended Kate as “a real star” and praised her “detailed and strategic approach to cases, together with a tenacity driven by her determination to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.”

Kate has also been described as “an extremely diligent solicitor” and “fighting every element of her client’s case; no stone is left unturned” and is featured in the Spear’s Family Law Index’s ‘Recommended Family Lawyers’ list. Kate joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers in 2009 and became a partner in April 2019. Prior to joining Hughes Fowler Carruthers Kate trained at Anthony Gold where she gained experience in family law, civil litigation and residential and commercial property.

Kate is a member of Resolution and her interests include running, her young family and food and wine.
