Bryan specialises in family law and in particular acting for international high net worth individuals in financial and children matters, including both financial claims and Children Act proceedings.
Prior to joining Hughes Fowler Carruthers Bryan trained at a city law firm where he gained experience in commercial property, trusts, contentious probate and family law.
Upon qualification in 2010, Bryan joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers and since then has amassed a wealth of experience, which includes High Court and Court of Appeal reported cases. Bryan was appointed to the partnership in April 2018.
Bryan is ranked in the leading legal directories and is featured in the Spear’s Family Law Index’s ‘Recommended Family Lawyers’ list. He is ranked Band 5 in Chambers UK 2025, with sources noting that he is “very accomplished, extremely bright and always on top of the detail.” He is further described as “cool and calm in every scenario,” with a source continuing that he “has an amazing ability to always be one step ahead of the opposition. He is never fazed when complications arise but immediately finds a solution.”
Chambers HNW 2024 highlights that Bryan “is extremely bright and brings a worldliness to his intelligence as well” and “a star in the near future.”
In Chambers UK 2024, one source comments that he is “very clever and thinks outside the box.” Chambers UK 2023 notes that he “is tenacious and has a very good knowledge of the law,” and that he “is good at handling a complex caseload; he is unflappable, prepared for anything and is a wise head.”
