Jay joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers in 2015 after qualifying as a family solicitor at a central London law firm in 2013.
Jay advises UK and international clients on a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, children issues and cohabitation disputes.
Jay is experienced in dealing with high value financial cases involving trusts, corporate structures and international elements. She has particular expertise in drafting complex pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements involving assets in numerous jurisdictions.
Jay is skilled at handling sensitive and confidential issues. Her clients come from a range of backgrounds including professionals, entrepreneurs and those in the public eye. She is particularly adept at working on matters involving allegations of domestic violence and child abuse.
Jay’s strength as a lawyer is in finding novel solutions to her client’s circumstances. Whilst committed to resolving cases out-of-court where possible, she is an experienced litigator with meticulous preparation and attention to detail.
Jay works with Renato Labi and Mark Harper who describes her as “an empathetic, diligent lawyer, who drives cases forward in a considered and efficient manner”.
