Marriage, Divorce, Civil Partnerships & Cohabitation
Hughes Fowler Carruthers is highly experienced in advising on all aspects of cohabitation, marriage, civil partnerships and divorce. We have a breadth of knowledge about the divorce process in England and Wales and internationally.
We specialise in pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and pre- and post-civil partnership agreements, which include those made by international couples.
Where parties have agreed to separate, we provide clients with careful and expedient advice to help them decide on a course of action that best suits their situation – whether by way of divorce or civil partnership, dissolution, judicial separation or a separation agreement. We have significant expertise in the position of couples who have not been married or civilly partnered, whether with or without children.
We recognise the importance of alternative forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, collaborative law or arbitration. The firm includes highly respected mediators, collaborative lawyers and arbitrators, and can provide these services as well as advise on their use when addressing any of the issues that concern separating or divorcing couples.
